Over the course of three movements this piece blends the cello with the female form. In the first movement the pizzicato attacks of the performer trigger images and sounds, with the computer controlling the onscreen location and number of images, as well as the sound localization. In the second movement the performer controls mozaicked images as overlays on the female figure and eyes, and in the third movement various sampled cello and synthetic sounds compete with the live performance in the same manner as images compete onscreen, with a final blending of all elements. |
